The Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 with its skin care, makeup and fragrance products

A skincare advent calendar is one of my favorite gifts to give, and to get. You try a little of everything, you find a few new favorites, and opening a door each morning makes December feel special. The problem is that the best ones sell out in November, and some are mostly filler. These are the seven I would pick this year, from a $20 budget find to the splurges on my wishlist.

Before you buy

How to pick the right one

Look at the full sizes, not just the value. A big "worth" number can come from lots of tiny samples. Calendars like Dermstore and Liberty, where many of the products are full size, give you more to use.

Match it to her routine. If she loves skin care, pick one heavy on serums and moisturizers. If she loves makeup, hair and scent, a mix like Bluemercury is more fun.

Go slow with strong actives. Calendars often include retinoids, acids and vitamin C. Try one new active at a time, and keep retinoids and exfoliating acids on different nights. My retinol guide walks through how to start.

Buy early. The most popular calendars often sell out well before December 1.

The bottom line

For anti-aging skin care, Dermstore's 24 Days of Beauty is the one I would buy this year. Target's set is the best budget pick, Liberty and Bluemercury are the most fun to open, SkinCeuticals is the one for a fan of the brand, and Augustinus Bader and 111SKIN are the splurges. See all of them, plus a few more, in my ShopMy advent calendar collection.

Common questions

Which skincare advent calendar is the best value in 2026?

For anti-aging skin care, the Best of Dermstore 24 Days of Beauty calendar is $250 for products worth $1,147, and about half of them are full size. Liberty is also strong value, with 21 full-size products out of 29.

Is there a good skincare advent calendar under $50?

Yes. Target's 12-piece Ultimate Skincare Advent Calendar is $20 and is filled with K-beauty and drugstore favorites like La Roche-Posay, TONYMOLY and BYOMA.

When do skincare advent calendars sell out?

The most popular calendars often sell out in November, well before December 1. If you have your eye on one, it is worth buying early.

Are advent calendars good for sensitive skin?

Calendars mix many brands and ingredients, so if your skin is sensitive, patch test each new product and introduce strong actives like retinoids slowly, one at a time.
